Parks & Sporting Fields

Canterbury City Council provides a wide variety of parks, gardens and sports grounds and recreational facilities to residents and visitors.
Canterbury Aquatic Centre

Aquatic centres

Our Aquatic & Fitness Centres are two of the most commendable fitness facilities within our City, serving the community since 1959 & 1967.

Community Centres

We operate a number of community centres throughout the City of Canterbury, including the Punchbowl Community Centre.

Libraries

All of our libraries are conveniently located around our city at Campsie, Earlwood, Lakemba and Riverwood.

Child Care Centres

We operate 4 long day care centres which provide daily & weekly care for children up to 6 years of age as well as occasional & family day care services.

Tennis Courts

We have tennis courts available for hire at a number of convenient locations. For bookings and further information call Sportsmax on 1300367891.

Netball Courts

We currently have 3 separate locations that accomodate several netball courts.

Cycling & Walking Tracks

Some of our finest cycleways & walking paths are along the foreshore of the historic Cooks River and fantastic open spaces & parks.

Cooks River Fitness Trail

The fitness equipment, called Separated Exersite, makes starting an exercise program a less daunting experience, especially for people who don't enjoy exercising at a gym.
