Winter Weekend Hours at our Aquatic Centres

The Winter weekend operating hours will take effect from Saturday 5 May to Sunday 26 August 2012.

Canterbury Aquatic & Fitness Centre and Roselands Aquatic Centre weekend hours 7.30am-2pm (Saturday and Sunday).

The 50 metre pools will remain OPEN through winter - however temporary closures will occur for essential maintenance. Patrons will be advised in advance of all temporary closures.

Tasker Park

History of Tasker Park

Alderman WS Tasker was instrumental in having the area bearing his name on the south bank of Cook's River set aside as a park and playing fields. A portion was allocated to the newly formed Canterbury Women's Bowling Club which was officially opened in March, 1940. The first president was Aid. Taskers wife, Rebecca Tasker. Alderman Tasker served Council as an Alderman in the periods 1925-31 and 1937-44.
