Skate Park
The Skate Park in Riverwood is another recreational facility that we offer local residents, especially young people. The project was jointly funded by Canterbury City Council and the State Government.
A lot of work was put in to the design of this park so that local young people have a top-class facility to enjoy. Local youth were also involved in the design process of the park and were encouraged to contribute their ideas.
The Skate Park is used for roller-blading, BMX bike riding and skateboarding and is located in the Salt Pan Creek Recreation area next to the Riverwood Community Centre, 151 Belmore Rd North, Riverwood NSW. This allows local kids the use of the skate park as well as the services and facilities of the Community Centre.
The skate park plan includes:
- bowl
- spine ramp
- roll over boxes
- a number of built-in safety features such as space for all riders to use the facility at the one time.
It is a terrific addition to community facilities in Riverwood.
