Local Government Week 2009

Local Government Week (LG Week) -- 3 to 9 August 2009 -- provided a focus for councils to promote the importance of Local Government to the community. The theme for 2009 was 'Keeping it Local' with Councils across NSW hosting a range of great events and activities during LG Week to show the community how they can be part of their council's day-to-day activities.
Local Government Week 2008
In 2008, the theme was 'Over the Fence: Cultivating Your Own Backyard' and the focus was giving everyone an opportunity to look at what makes up the 'backyard' of their local government area, with Council playing a primary role in keeping our community connected.
