The City of Canterbury prides itself on being a "green" city. What many visitors and residents notice when they first visit Canterbury is how leafy and green the City is.

Council actively encourages the propagation and maintenance of trees and plants throughout the area.

Our Tree Preservation Order and our tree inspection guidelines ensure that flora is a major contributor to the positive aethetics of the City.
