Pre-Booked Household Cleanup
We provide each household with two free pre-booked household clean up collections per year. Bookings are essential. Only materials that have been pre-booked for collection can be placed on the street. Rubbish that has been put out without a booking is dumped rubbish. Dumped rubbish can attract a fine of up to $5,000.
Please follow these easy steps to book a collection for up to 3 cubic metres of materials:
- Plan ahead. It's a good idea to allow a few weeks when making a booking.
- Phone Council on 9789 9300 and ask to book a household clean up collection. You will be sent a confirmation letter with the date of collection, a brochure with the conditions of collection, and a sticker to put on the materials.
- Place materials out the night before and affix the sticker on one of the items to show it has been pre-booked for collection. It's important that materials are placed neatly outside your property as close as possible to the kerb, and clear of the footpath or any trees. Make sure the sticker is visible from the street.
- When putting excess branches and garden vegetation out for a pre-booked clean up, all branches and shrub cuttings must be bundled and securely tied. Only tree branches up to 1 metre long and 15 centimetres in diameter will be accepted.
