Canterbury City Council administers a local government area of 33.4 square kms - a dynamic, urban inner city area, proud of its cosmopolitan character and cultural diversity.

Covering 16 Sydney suburbs, divided into three wards, which are part of a thriving residential and commercial region serviced by excellent transport links rail, bus and major road networks, we provide residents, businesses, visitors and workers with a host of community facilities, sporting grounds, riverside parklands, recreational areas and much more.

Each of the three wards is represented by three elected Councillors. The Mayor is elected by popular vote. Your Councillors are elected to represent you. Please contact them if you would like their assistance.
