English Language Classes

Free English Classes
We're holding free English classes for basic and intermediate levels. Monday's and Tuesday's from 10am-12pm at Campsie Library and Thursday's from 10am-12pm at Lakemba Library. Campsie Library 14-28 Amy Street, Campsie 2194 and Lakemba Library, 62 The Boulevarde, Lakemba NSW 2195. Tuesday 27 September 1pm-2pm | Christine M Knight is an Australian author who provides an insight into the human condition. Christine will present her new book In and out of step, a story about a young woman who begins life as a teacher in a small coastal town when her dreams of a dancing career are unfulfilled. It explores gender relationships in a modern Australian setting where men and women move in and out of step with changing attitudes to women in the workforce and relationships. Christine M. A collection of animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. TumbleBooks are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture books in order to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you.

yourtutor Online Tutoring
yourtutor is an online tutoring service - Get Help with your homework from trained, professional tutors! yourtutor is available for students from Years 4 through to 12, Monday to Friday from 4pm to 8pm during school terms. This service is free of charge and is generously supported by the Canterbury Bulldogs Leagues Club and Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL Club.

Get Started ... Computer Training
You will learn basic functions of a PC and using the Internet - how to control a mouse, how to type on a keyboard, navigating the Windows desktop, creating, printing and saving a document, signing up to a web-based Email service and an introduction to the Internet.

All of our libraries are conveniently located around our city and can be accessed by most forms of transport, including car, bus, train and are in close proximity to major shopping precincts. An external book-returns chute is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at both Campsie & Lakemba libraries. Car parking and street parking is available near each of our libraries.
