People working to make our community a better place
We recognise that there are people in our community who work hard to make the City of Canterbury and our community, a great place to live and work.
We feel that it is our duty to say thank you to local residents and businesses who volunteer their time to community work and service, as well as people who strive to make life easier for residents within our community who may have disabilities, and highlight the achievements of young people in sport, art and the environment.
By establishing these awards, it is hoped that we can share with our community the actions and efforts of a number of great people who are an important part of our wonderful City.
