Community Safety & Crime Prevention Plan

As part of our commitment to improving the sense of safety for local residents, we have developed this comprehensive Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan. This plan has been produced to guide Council's community safety initiatives over the next three years. It seeks to build on the work already done towards reducing crime and making our community safer for all residents to enjoy and demonstrates Council's commitment to community safety.

Getting rid of Graffiti

We have a dedicated Graffiti Removal Team equipped with high pressure cleaning equipment to remove graffiti. Graffiti is removed from Council property within 72 hours of it being reported and 48 hours if it is offensive.

We have a Graffiti Register to help police identify graffiti offenders.

Our Boxed Art Project has transformed 88 traffic signal boxes around our City from graffiti-tagged eyesores into colourful and creative works of art.

It's important that local businesses, residents and Council work together to keep our City graffiti free. If you see graffiti you should report it to us on 9789 9300.
