Pets and animals - What you need to know
Owning a cat or a dog is a big responsibility. When you buy or are given a dog there are a lot of things you need to do to look after it properly. You should ensure that it is healthy, well nourished, groomed, vaccinated, and properly exercised and trained. Of course you will also want to make sure your pet is happy and contented. A well cared for pet can be a great companion.

The SPOT (Safe Pets Out There) ProgramThe SPOT program has been developed under the umbrella of the Australian Companion Animal Council by the Animal Welfare League, the Australian Veterinary Association, Delta Society Australia and the RSPCA. The SPOT program will be offered to all schools. The presentations will be run by accredited volunteers including representatives from the partner organisations and local councils.
