School Holidays
We're calling all young people to drop into Belmore Youth Resource Centre (BYRC) for a fun-filled program during the holidays.
Our Belmore Youth Resource Centre is a fantastic facility, providing our City's young people with a range of fun activities, education and support when needed.
The Centre also provides an extensive school holiday program and throughout the holidays we've got everything from learn to surf workshops and bowling to ice skating and day trips to Jamberoo and the movies. There's also be regular 'drop-in' afternoons for young people to come along and explore the different services available at the Centre.
Interested young people must sign up for their selected activity on Registration Day at the Belmore Youth Resource Centre. Completed permission slips for anyone under 18 years must also be handed in on this day. Participants need to be aged between 12-20 years old and live, study or work in the City of Canterbury.
All activities take place or depart from the Belmore Youth Resource Centre, located at Building 3, 38 Redman Parade, Belmore.
Some of our previous activities have included:
- Movies
- Ice Skating
- Art Class
- Aquatic Centre
- Jamberoo Amusement Park

Young Men's Support Group
We have implemented a Young Men's Support Group at the BYRC. The group aims to facilitate and liaise with local young men aged from 12 to 24 who are at risk or newly arrived.
With the aid of the program, we hope to build a sense of confidence in self expression, mateship, respect and understanding of different cultures whilst challenging personal skills and boundaries.
We encourage all interested people to take part in this fantastic initiative.
For more information, please call the BYRC on 9718 9848 or use our Contact Council Online Form.
