Children's Centres (Long Day Care)

We operate four long day care centres which provide daily and weekly care for children up to six years of age. The children's centres operate between 7am and 6pm from Monday to Friday. These services provide families with quality educational programs in a safe and caring environment.  Children can attend these centres on either a full time or part time basis and the Child Care Benefit is available for eligible residents.

Anti-bias Curriculum in Child Care Policy

In our child care centres we practice anti-bias policy. It promotes environment, which encourages non-discriminatory behaviour towards children of other race, religion, language, looks and other aspects of life. Our Council is considered to be the best practice model in this area. Early Childhood Services at our centres support children in their home language. For more information contact 9789 9400.

"MyTime" playgroups

"MyTime" playgroups provide extra support for parents of children 0-5 with a disability or chronic medical condition such as Down Syndrome and Autism.

The "MyTime" play helper leads children in activities such as singing, drawing, playing with toys, so parents can spend valuable time catching up with, learning from and helping other parents. The "MyTime" group facilitator also helps parents get to know each other and supports them with information, topics or activities of interest.

The Playgroups operate during school terms from 10am-12noon on Mondays at Belmore Youth Resource Centre and Wednesdays at Punchbowl Primary School.

To find out more about "MyTime" please contact Tresillian Family Care Centres on 9787 0864.
