On Wednesday 8 July 2009, Sydney South West Cricket in conjunction with Cricket Australia & Cricket NSW are conducting a special Playing in Harmony at Punchbowl Oval between 9am - 3pm.

The event is free of charge and available to local school students - the day will have an in-class component addressing issues such as racism, bullying, discrimination, teamwork and respect. Students will then play a fun game of cricket with neighbouring school.

$702,000 Boost to Parks & Recreational facilities

Play Equipment
Children's playgrounds across the City will be upgraded, improving community infrastructure and support local jobs. Upgrades include installation of softfall areas and shade structures, disability play equipment at Wiley Park, replacement of aging play equipment, and brand new play equipment.

Draft DCP 51 Access and Mobility is now on public exhibition

This DCP applies to ensure that the importance of access for people with disabilities in all classes of buildings relevant to the plan will be communicated to those lodging Development Applications. The DCP will be on exhibition until 5 pm Friday 31 July 2009.
