Friday 4 December | Living LibraryWe launched the Living Library earlier this year, and so far it's been a fantastic success in bringing people from all walks of life together in one-to-one conversation. The Living Library gives visitors the opportunity to "borrow" a "living book" for an informal, half-hour chat. The program also encourages understanding between groups that aren't traditionally exposed to each other, challenging negative stereotypes and reducing prejudice. It also gives us all the opportunity to meet people from around the world, find out about their culture and challenge any perceptions we might have. Our next Living Library is in December at Campsie Library and we're hoping for people from all walks of life to volunteer as a living book.
